A Nigerian commercial bank has re-opened all its branches in
Osogbo, Osun state after it was shut following a violent attack by thugs
on Thursday, January 14.
According to the management of the bank,m Skye bank, the thugs
disrupted its banking activities to enforce a purported court judgment,
even when it had been duly served of a notice for stay of execution and a
pending appeal at the Supreme Court.
The Bank claimed it was awaiting hearing date for the Application
when Tuns Farms invaded its banking offices in Oshogbo with thugs,
criminals and area boys to disrupt its operations, and loot its assets.
Skye bank said it has taken necessary steps to protest the obviously
criminal action by Tuns Farms to the relevant law enforcement agencies,
being an action that is capable of breaching the peace.
It reassured its customers that it will continue to provide normal
banking services to its customers at all its locations in Oshogbo.
