The scantily-clad beauty posed in just her underwear for her first cover shoot for Complex magazine, where they asked 'who is Kim Kardashian?'

Believe it or not, there was a time when people were asking ‘who is Kim Kardashian ?’ as she was known more for stepping out with then-BFF Paris Hilton.

In a throwback cover, Kim stripped down to her underwear for her first cover interview with Complex magazine.

Wearing nothing but black lingerie and a pair of killer Louboutin heels, Kim posed underneath the banner: 'Who is Kim Kardashian ? Paris Hilton's BFF on sex, lies and video tapes.’

The interview will probably make Kim cringe with embarrassment now, as she gave herself 20 out of 10 for her sexual antics, and also called herself ‘Princess Kim’.

At the time, Kim would have been 26 when she did the interview, in which she described herself as a “really outdoorsy sports person”.

By this, she meant going to parties as well as skiing and skydiving. Yes, skydiving.
In the interview, Kim also denied that she had made a sex tape with then-boyfriend Ray J, which is double cringe as it’s now ranked among one of the best-selling sex tapes of all time.
Just months after this chat, she was forced to acknowledge its existence.
In her interview, Kim also defended herself against the stigma which she thought was attached to wealthy Hollywood kids, insisting that she was independent financially.

“[The biggest misconception is] that we're all trust-fund kids and we have it so easy,” she told the magazine.
“If anything, I find it the complete opposite. I know people think we drive around in these nice cars and we do whatever we want and our parents will pay our credit cards, but that's not the case.
“Sure my parents were generous; I got a nice car at 16, but at 19 I was cut off. I've worked really hard. I opened the store myself. Even Paris and Nicole [Richie] — they're completely independent too.”

In the chat, Kim also revealed how she was close to Ray-J’s sister Brandy and would give her advice on how to spend her cash.

“I love to go on trips, I remember, I used to tell one of my really good friends, Brandy - the singer Brandy - you know she has every purse and shoe and every outfit,” she said.
“I’d be like, ‘Let’s not buy a $5,000 bag for once and let’s go on vacation.’”

Since the interview, which took place nearly eight years ago, Kim has gone on to become one of the most famous faces in the world and has married rapper Kanye West (after a few blips on the way).

She is reportedly worth $85million and has two-year-old daughter North and one-month-old son Saint.
But something tells us if Kim wants that bag and a holiday – these days, she’ll have both – and they might even come for free.
